History

The Tree of Life – Darbargadh is a resort located in Dared. It was originally the ancestral home of the ruling family of Dared, a small village in Gujarat. The Darbargadh, a “heritage resort inhabited by the ruling chieftain,” was constructed several centuries ago as a fortified palace where the local rulers lived and governed the region. The architecture of the Darbargadh reflects the traditional styles of the time, featuring detailed carvings, grand courtyards, and majestic rooms designed to display the wealth and power of the ruling family.

By Air: Bhavnagar Airport is the nearest airport to the resort, which connects to various cities and is 60 km from the resort, taking about 90 minutes by car.
By Train: Rajkot is the nearest major railway station to the resort. One can book a train to Rajkot from various major cities across India. The distance from Rajkot to the resort is approximately 70 km.
By Road: Darbargadh is approximately 180 km southeast of Ahmedabad. The journey takes around 4 hours via National Highway 27.
Rooms: The property has 9 unique rooms and suites, each designed to reflect the historical charm of the heritage resort while offering modern comforts. The rooms are spacious and beautifully appointed, with traditional Gujarati architectural elements such as carved wooden doors, antique furnishings, and vibrant textiles. Once a royal hunting ground for the Maharaja of Bhavnagar, this 34 square kilometre expanse is now a sanctuary for the magnificent blackbuck. Village Tour

The village tour starts at 5:30 PM, lasts an hour. Guests will see diamond cutting, Maldhari homes, a Mahadev temple, a royal memorial, and the local market before ending with an evening prayer.
