History

Built in 1892 by HH Sayajirao Gaekwad’s cousin, Shrimant Madhavrao Gaekwad, Madhav Bagh fell into disrepair for decades. The owners later restored and renovated it with tremendous attention to detail. Part of the property is now a four-room homestay owned and managed by Shivraj Gaekwad, the grandson of Madhavrao Gaekwad, and his wife Indrayani.
