History

Maharaj Shri Man Singh, the second son of H.H. The Maharaja Dowlat Singhji Saheb of Idar, envisioned and built the Dowlat Villas Palace. Constructed in the late 1920s and 1930s, the palace is uniquely shaped like a scorpion. The central portion represents the scorpion’s face, body, and sting, making the palace architecture one-of-a-kind.
