History

Originally serving as the Maharaja’s administrative office, this property later became part of the royal family’s Kumar Shala (Boys School). The late Rajmata Brijrajnandini Devi envisioned transforming it into a heritage hotel offering budget-friendly luxury. Her daughter in-law Maharani Samyukta Kumari, continued this vision, expanding the hotel while preserving its authentic Kathiawari architectural style.

The owners of Nilambag Palace also manufacture Indian gym equipment, and yoga lessons are available as well.
