History

Once a princely state ruled by the Parmar Dynasty, Jambughoda was founded by Thakore Vachhaji. The dynasty relocated here after a hunting incident in Dhar, Madhya Pradesh. In the 1940s, Maharana Ranjit Sinhji abdicated in favour of his son, Digvijay Sinhji. Today, Maharana Vikram Sinhji and his family manage A Home for Nature Lovers, housed within the 250-year-old Jambughoda Palace, offering a unique blend of heritage and nature.
